Remote Physician Coding Team Thoracic Surgery Coder

Job Summary

A health services company is seeking a Remote Physician Coding Team Thoracic Surgery Coder.

Must be able to:

• Perform quality surgical coding on Thoracic surgery and other cardiothoracic chart types
• Work the review queue daily to ensure accuracy and any necessary communications are executed properly
• Maintain a working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles, governmental regulations, and official coding guidelines

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma plus CPC certification from AAPC
• 2-3 years coding cardiothoracic surgical procedures and EMR experience
• Minimum 3-5 years Physician Coding experience, both IP and OP coding for physician claims
• Must maintain credential throughout employment
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong Working Knowledge & experience with Federal & State Coding regulations and Guidelines
