Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Database Engineer (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, scale, secure, and maintain on-prem relational and non-relational database systems
- Perform operational DBA duties including installation, upgrades, patching, and monitoring procedures
- Guide engineering teams on performance tuning, query optimization, and database design standards
Required Qualifications
- Deep knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL infrastructure, both on-prem and in cloud
- Experience in building and maintaining mission-critical production database systems
- Systems engineering experience, including Linux performance and networking
- Working knowledge of relational database internals and at least one scripting language
- Proven track record of automating tasks
