Job Summary
A company is looking for a Fee Coder III in Surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Compare and reconcile patient schedules, billing, and medical records for accurate charge submission
- Investigate and resolve charge errors
- Review and process surgical operative reports, physician attestation forms, and E&M audits
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Specific training in CPT procedural coding and ICD9 CM diagnostic coding
- Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, CCA, or COC)
- Minimum of 3 years coding experience, including 1 year of complex coding experience
- Proficiency in coding and claims editing
