Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pro-Fee Coder - General Surgical.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to assign and sequence diagnostic and procedural codes for various patient types
• Ensure professional charges are substantiated and create compliant queries when documentation is unclear
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and participate in training and auditing of coding colleagues

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• An active AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) credential
• Minimum of five years coding experience or two years in ancillary procedural or simple surgical coding
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
• Proficient in MS Office and ability to code at a 95% accuracy threshold
