Job Summary
A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records for inpatient and outpatient services to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes
- Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding and official coding guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior coding experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding in an acute care setting
- Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC to be obtained within 6 months of employment
- A.S. or B.S. from an accredited Health Information program is preferred
