Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Coordinator to assist patients and referral sources with scheduling appointments and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage telephone calls and patient inquiries, ensuring timely responses to appointment requests
- Schedule patient appointments according to internal guidelines and verify insurance information
- Collect and enter accurate patient demographic information into the system
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred; applicable work experience may substitute
- 1-3 years of experience in a call center, appointment scheduling, customer service, or medical office setting
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment
- Knowledge of healthcare industry processes is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
