YOUR ROLE:

We need someone like you to build and lead a team of data analysts that will support the insights and strategy within our various verticals, including but not limited to Insurance, Credit Cards, and SEO. Reporting to the Head of Analytics, you will develop a deep understanding of Launch Potato's systems and data in order to build the strategic partnerships within the organization.

You will develop and execute on how analysts collaborate and support the insight consumed by user acquisition, yield, product & engineering, account management, re-marketing, and finance teams related to each vertical. You will have the skills necessary to manage and lead your team, while becoming a subject matter expert on our data infrastructure and understand the nuances and data intricacies.

Success in this role will be directly impacted by your ability to develop the strategic relationships between data analysts and teams within each vertical. You will have adopted a collaborative culture where teams rely on the insights and data provided by your team in order to have a measurable impact on the overall success of the business. As the analytics manager you will be owning the day to day tactical work in the early stages of this role. Within a year of starting you will have successfully onboarded and ramped up a team of 2-3 data analysts.

Success will be further determined by your ability to:

Establish and manage the relationships with key stakeholders.
Prioritize and manage the insights and strategic vision across multiple verticals.
Review deliverables to ensure insights are accurate, actionable, and presented to the necessary stakeholders.
Query large and complex data sets to provide insights and opportunities.
Gather feedback and measure the direct impact of the strategic partnerships with data analysts and stakeholders. Ensuring the data presented is actionable and utilized.
Provide the support and mentorship to hire, train, and retain a high performing analytics team.
Work closely with business intelligence, data scientists, and FP&A to help unleash deeper insights and opportunities.
Take on the responsibilities of a lead data analyst while you build and onboard your team.

Cross Functional Partnerships:

Develop strategic partnerships with stakeholders in user acquisition, yield, product & engineering, account management, re-marketing, and finance.
Be an influential part of the business to help support growth and decision making.
Seek feedback and the impact of deliverables from analytics.
Oversee analytics initiatives from the planning stage to the final outcome.
Help design and execute A/B testing through reporting and insights.

Team Management:

Thrive for a collaborative team environment where everyone's voice is heard.
Ensure the team has a clear vision on the key initiatives within a vertical and organization.
Help remove blockers and knowledge gaps.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to support growth.

Data & Analytics:

Become an expert in Looker and implement standards within your team when presenting content and reporting.
Become a SME on our data models, business logic, data pipelines, and systems used across the analytics organization.
Proactively seek out opportunities and insights.
Assist in the validation and QA of ad hoc queries and analysis.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

5+ years of analytics experience in performance marketing, with 2+ years of management.
Proficient in the manipulation and reverse engineering of complex SQL queries to understand the underlying nuances within our data.
Managing competing projects in a fast paced environment.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills to manage highly complex information.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present your findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to speak to measurable impacts you have made on a business with insights derived from you and your team.
Proficiency in a BI platform, Excel, and SQL.
