Remote Health Information Management Inpatient Coding Specialist
Job Summary
A non-profit, faith-based healthcare organization is filling a position for a Remote Health Information Management Inpatient Coding Specialist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Accurately coding Inpatient records
- Using the ICD10CM/PCS coding system
- Abstracting prescribed data elements from the medical records
Skills and Requirements Include:
- High School, GED
- Licenses & Certifications: AHIMA or AAPC Certified Coding Specialist
- Inpatient hospital coding experience
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of encoder system, and Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS)
- Minimum Required Experience: 3 years Hospital Inpatient coding
- Competency in Word and Excel
