Job Summary
A non-profit healthcare group needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Acute Inpatient Health Information Management Service Coder.
Must be able to:
- Analyze medical information from medical records
- Abstract clinical diagnoses, procedure codes and documents
- Accurately code diagnostic and procedural information
Position Requirements Include:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and specialized formal training
- CCS, CPC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, or other appropriate coding certification in an active status
- 3 or more years of inpatient coding experience in Acute Care inpatient facility or healthcare system
- Demonstrate a level of knowledge and understanding of ICD CM and PCS coding principles
