The 2024 Fortune 500 List
For the 70th year, Fortune published its ranking of the biggest U.S. businesses by revenue, which is commonly known as the “Fortune 500.” According to Fortune’s 2024 report, “In total, Fortune 500 companies represent two-thirds of the U.S. GDP with $18.8 trillion in revenues, $1.7 trillion in profits, and $43 trillion in market value (as of March 28, 2024), and they employ 31 million people worldwide.”
Ranking Fully Remote Jobs With Large Employers
To create our ranking of fully remote jobs with large employers among the Fortune 500, we compared the 2024 Fortune list against our Remote Companies Database to determine 25 of the biggest U.S. companies actively hiring jobseekers for fully remote job postings. Fully remote jobs are the epitome of work-at-home employment. These positions do not require employees to work on-site or complete regular business travel. All of the top 25 Fortune 500 companies named in this report had at least 10 active fully remote job openings posted to the Virtual Vocations database at the time of our report’s publication.
Fourteen of the top 25 remote enabled Fortune 500 companies are also featured on our list of “Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs in 2024.” The list is our eighth annual analysis of the 100 best companies for remote hiring. Logos for businesses awarded this designation are labeled with our top 100 badge.
