Yes, for over 15 years.
What are you looking for in candidates in terms of culture fit with your organization?
Someone who lives in the U.S. so they can attend weekly Zoom meetings. Someone who is deadline driven because we don’t micro-manage our team. Someone who has a fun personality and works well with our current team.
How important is a resume when making hiring decisions?
It’s important; it’s the first impression and gives a snapshot of their experience and if they’re a good fit. It’s also a barometer for their attention to detail if they have misspellings and bad grammar. How about a LinkedIn profile? We don’t worry about that as much.
Are you fairly structured in terms of work hours or are they flexible?
Flexible as it relates to hitting deadlines. We ask the team to try and plan their week with the number of hours per day they think they’ll work so we can delegate effectively. But when and where the work is done is totally flexible.
