Assist in evaluating needs of the patient and suggests referrals to other disciplines. Review OASIS patient status items compared to other related patient documentation to verify completeness and accuracy. Receive and review patient OASIS assessments for assigned care centers.
Assist in design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors when necessary. Required Skills: Must have at least five years strong IP Coding experience, preferably in a trauma/teaching hospital. Must have AHIMA certification (CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
Demonstrated typing ability or computer skills. Ability to operate telephone and assist physicians, office personnel, and general public effectively. Associate of Science degree in Health Information Technology or a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management.
